The City of Utica In New York

Three years in the making and our largest project to date! Eleven massive murals each detailing the history and the heritage of the people of the City of Utica. This project incorporated CNC milling with our router as well as some pretty slick design work from our team of artists.

The New York Department of Transportation contacted us with an idea. Their City of Utica Historical Society had some old photographs of what life was like during the founding of the city. They wished to immortalize these photos in concrete for the residents and visitors to enjoy.

Our designers used these photos as a springboard. This collaborative project was designed by our in house artisans utilizing 3D computer rendered design. This allowed our client the ability to request revisions until they were completely satisfied. With the images, they were able to twist, turn, rotate and see their images before we began carving the real panels. Once they were satisfied with our work, we were able to carve their panels with confidence. The result …..”history”!
