A stretch of highway, a dinosaur, and a cowboy.
That is how we got our start. Eighteen years ago, in a dusty garage the beginning of an enterprise was conceived. It started with simple sketches. Then came foam and a hot knife. And what emerged was the first sculpture. Ideas became reality. Concepts on paper were coming to life in the form of bas relief, sculpture, carvings, and architectural components that were one of a kind.
Fast forward seven years, and that dusty garage had long been abandoned to make room for 20 foot dolphins, a foam coral reef, and a full scale rhinoceros. No longer was it just foam and a hot knife. The latest in technology had been put into production.
Complex textures were able to be lifted from three-dimensional scanners. Intricate patterns could be cut with lasers. Large scale creations could be made with CNC routing. Materials of all kind had been employed: fiberboard, urethane foam, wood, plastic, glass. The potential for bringing the imagination to life was limitless.
And there before us was our largest challenge to date. We were given the task of transforming an entire stretch of new highway. Working alongside a gifted artist, we began our largest venture to date. What came of that venture brings us to today.
Thousands and thousands of miles of highway have been adorned with our work. Sculptures created in our studios by visiting artists grace the entrances to lobbies. And buildings in the heart of Manhattan showcase some of our finest creations.
Today, four industrious years later, we work from a pint-sized yet very efficient and capable little factory. We are a family run business and our primary focus is providing quality work and personal service; a belief we take seriously.
While we work with artists all over the world, and we like to think of our facility as an extension of their studio, ultimately we put our name into every creation. And for each piece that leaves our studio, large or small it is personal.
We are excited to announce that we are expanding again. Over the last year we have updated all our equipment to offer the very latest in technology for scanning, milling, & engraving. And now our services are expanding even more. We have now added 3D Printing to our studio!
